After snafus trying to get hatching eggs(which, of course, you have a time limit on to find!) I got free dozen from someone 1/2 hr away and the breeds will be mixed but they are standard szd birds(and 1 small americana egg?). She did her purring thing when I placed them around/under her and when I checked a few hours later she had fluffed herself beautifully over the dozen. I had a 4 lb bird hatch 10 no problem so am thinking this Buff Orp will do well.

Good luck with you hatch!

I am hoping after this next round of incubator eggs I will only be hatching naturally - but it depends on if I get the type of birds I want from this batch cause I just don't trust a broody with expensive shipped eggs.
