Our walmart carries scratch and layer crumble. We used to buy there but stopped. What's funny is they never laid eggs until we stopped buying walmart brand. We went to TSC and bought the dumor layer and boy they are shooting eggs like an Uzi

I worked for a supermarket chain 35 years ago, we sold eggs, and milk and some other products for zero profit, BUT back then meat and produce was very high profit margins well over 50%. The profit on some items Wally World sells may be as much as 400%, or even higher. I worked for monkey-wards for a while back then to and their profit margins were that high. Still can't figure how they went broke with such high profit margins.
I am under the chair to shield the rocks......I worked for Walmart for almost 10 years .... they have sold feed in their stores for the last 5 years, but it is different stores at different times. What you see there today, might not be there next year. Not sure what their thinking is, but they put is in a store, get people using it, then stop carrying it. I opened 5 stores in Florida with them and each time it was the same thing, put stuff in, get people liking it and then quit carrying it.
The feed 3 years ago was being made for them by FRM, don't know if that is still the case as I have been gone from there 2 years now. Don't miss it either
Our Wal-mart does not have feed- and 1/2 the time they don't even have my dog food. I've been asking them for 2 years to carry some things that they have at other stores (but far away) and they never get them. The only 2 grocery stores in town did go out of business- but everyone it seems was hired by wal-mart. I never thought I would shop there- but now I don't have a choice unless I want to drive 45 minutes each way.
On a good note- I found artichoke plants in the garden section! Woo hoo! If only the chickens would stop digging them up....
I miss the days when you could actually find American made item in Wal-mart.
I'm so sick of things made in China- I would rather pay more for something made somewhere else. They are on the verge of owning our free nation!
