Exactly what the title says, we have a sultan who we ordered as a female but this morning I saw her stand up straight and do exactly what cockadoodldoing looks like and open her mouth but no sound. Any thoughts?

My Aracauna was just over 8 weeks old when "she" started crowing.

I had just bought 6 new pullet chicks to add to the flock, and this particular chick was the more aggressive from day 1. Now my big rooster, Cogburn, has figured this little guy out and keeps a keen eye on him.

Do Pullets, less then 4 wks ever just open their mouth like they are talking?

My 6 pullets did that, It looked like they were trying to crow. One of them (now 17 weeks) still does it. She laid an egg yesterday, so she definitely isn't a roo.
