At what age do cockerels get their spurs?

My 12 week old BO has new little leg bumps. Is this the age the spurs start making an appearance?

He will have bumps for a while. They probably won't start growing significantly until he is around 8+ months I would say.

I was looking at my 6 months.I know there roo but were is their spurs.I though they was going to be spurless

All chicks have those little bumps, even the pullets...Spurs start as the cockeral matures more around 8 or 9 months or longers....
