We have 4 Indian runners...and they are 9 weeks old on a crumble non medicated..we feed them that with greens 2-3 times a day. When do we switch to pellets and how many cups do you feed them? They seem happy but I always worry I am not feeding enough. Also do they need grit ....we are new to ducks and chickens ..obviously ...oh they have a nice run w dirt, water and shade and indoor coop at night

You can offer pellets now, no problem. Its been a long time since I've only fed 4 ducks alone. I'd say they need about 1-2 quarts a day. I'd start with 1, and if the food is all gone in 12 hours, feed them again. They eat a lot daily the first 2 monthes, then slack back a little. They do most of their growing then, as far as pure physical size.

Good luck with your ducks. I really adore mine.

p.s. You should offer grit if your feeding ANYTHING other than just prepared pellets or crumbles. If they eat greens or other whole grains, you need it in there.
