at what age will a hen get broody?

I cleaned my Blue Maran coop today and put in a large amount of fresh straw.
They love playing in it.Walked by and saw one of the pullets....September baby7 months old, in the corner making a nest. She had already layed today, she was also pulling straw over her back.it was to cute.
Later when I checked them, she had covered herself and only her little eyes and beak were showing.
The rooster came near her and she cussed at him.LOUDLY.................
Is she to young to be broody??????/

My hen went broody at that age to.

She's not broody, I don't think. . . My Brahmas will do that and even sit on the eggs for 2-3 hours sometimes. . . I am indeed curious of the age they start going broody though.
