at what age will these start to lay eggs

  2. There's LOTS of variables to this question! You can get your answer by going on the basic BYC search and asking each question;

    "When do Welsummers lay"

    Do that for each breed you are looking for.

    In general all chickens average laying between 18-24 weeks. A very few earlier, a few as late as 32 weeks!!

    Look for comb and wattles to turn red (not pink) and for squatting for you. Usually eggs will begin within 2 weeks of squatting.
