If man was able to pervert it, then it was never perfect to begin with. Which means god is not perfect.Excellent question. I never asked God to take away my bipolar. I accept being as I am. As a believer in the Bible, I believe God made the world and humanity perfect in the beginning, but that an enemy perverted it and it is no longer perfect. That's why we now suffer sickness and death, which God never intended. Medication enables me to function fairly well in spite of my bipolar, just as insulin aids a diabetic. Our first parents were created in His image, but because they turned away from Him and lost their right to the Tree of Life, which would have granted immortality, humanity has become less healthy with each succeeding generation. God did not give me bipolar disorder. The human race has been declining for millennia. He in His mercy has opened up knowledge to modern medicine in the form of pharmaceuticals and other treatments, which helps counteract this decline. IMO.
When I bring my chickens into this world through incubation, I am literally their god. I selected their egg and everything.... anything that goes wrong is my fault. You can’t create something imperfect and then blame the creation - it’s the fault of the creator. I have a chicken that keeps eating eggs and is being a real jerk - but I’m not going to set it on fire and then magically make it so that it doesn’t die and has to burn for all of eternity. He could have made us a perfect paradise (like we strive to do with our chickens), but instead he made up some game that can only be played by drinking the symbolic blood of a 2000 year old god.... bc a woman made out of a rib was convinced by a taking snake to eat from a magical tree? Why couldn’t he just forgive us? Why send a hybrid man/god to the earth to be brutally murdered in the most horrific way imaginable? What standard was god being held to that that was the ONLY way? There’s someone above him making the rules?
That’s folklore - and we don’t need these beliefs anymore now that we know the sun will indeed rise every morning. Now that we know that weather is caused by atmospheric pressure changes and not the angry and vengeful hand of god. Now that we have medicine - we can replace superstition with science and use logic as our guidelines.
I love Science bc it changes its views and rewrites books based on changing evidence. Religion ignores evidence so that belief can be preserved.
This is my friendly rebuttle
