Shleya looked up as the intercom asked Julie to go to the office. She hoped that she wasn't in trouble on her first day back from the hospital... Then she went back to working on her math worksheet. Only taking about 10 seconds per problem as the other kids punched numbers into their calculators and thought a lot before writing something down. She began to doodle on the back of her paper as the other kids finished. At least it's not as slow as a non-advanced class she thought. When she stopped randomly drawing lines on her paper, she saw the was the ice rink that Jason had made for their 'date'. felling a little sad that it had to end the way it did, she scribbled it out.

Shleya got bored of drawing smiley faces all over the rest of her paper so she went up the the teacher. "I finished this, Do you have any extra work i could do?" Shleya asked politely. She scanned the paper and raised her eyebrows when she saw all the problems were completely finish and all correct. "I do have some extra credit you could work on... Give me a minute." The teacher said with a smile. When she came back she handed Shleya a thick packet of papers. "For every page you complete you receive 3 extra credit points." She said. "I don't expect you to finish them all though." Shleya had almost finished half way through the packet when the bell rang for the next class.

Julie, after an hour talking to the counselor, had said nothing of her past, though the lady had tried, she refused to. The counselor was actually scared of her after seeing her eyes change color.

Julie picked up her things and walked to lunch.

She put her things in her locker, got in line for lunch, and ordered some food. She took it to an empty table and sat down, staring down at her plate, not very hungry.
