"Just two." Daren replied with a shrug. He grabbed a violin the teacher let him borrow and sat down in the first violin section where the teacher assigned him to be. "I also play the cello." He said after the teacher asked him what other instrument he played. Suddenly on the speakers the principal announced... I would like to remind all students that next week on Friday is the school dance. Everyone is required to have a date and it doesn't matter who asks who as long as you have a date. The color dress code will be black and white as usual! Have a good rest of the day student!

Julie's face flushed and she but her lip. She had no one to go with, so she couldn't go.

Shleya looked up at the speakers. She knew that Jason had to be thinking exactly what she was. She smiled a little. She got her music out. She hadn't practiced at all yesterday but she hoped it wouldn't reflect on her performance today. looking at Daren she almost laughed. covering it up with a cough she saw how awkward Daren looked.
