Kelly felt a growing rage. Daren always took what mattered to her. Her parents... her siblings... now her mentor? She felt as if she could strangle him with her bare hands right then. She knew it had been Daren. She hadn't trusted her instincts and now Shleya was probably dead along with Jason and everyone else who had been in the cave.

Shleya cringed as time resumed flowing and all the entrances to the cave collapsed. She was feeling suddenly dizzy. She pretty much gave all her energy into letting Kelly slip away. Jason looked confused to see her. She smiled weakly. "I knew something was up." She whispered reaching down and slipping her fingers through Jason's.

Madeline felt like she would pass out. She felt dizzy. Her wings felt numb, bent and unable to move them. "Oh my god! What happened to my wings?!" They looked broken.
