Attachment problems

I agree, baby monitor or web cam is a great idea. Web cam would be great with homeschooling also. Kids could see it at all times. Going to hook both up tomorrow. I can hear my husband laughing now.

I just put a baby monitor in for my chickies and I was not so worried. I told my dad I was not putting them outside until I got a baby monitor for my chickens.

Thank you for posting with your dilemma. I have a small flock that I need to start putting in their outdoor pen daily. And I am reluctant also.

I am on several Chicken Boards and I have read comments from a number of people that hook up Chicken Cams to keep an eye on the girls. Over and over the family winds up spending more time watching the birdies then anything else! It is quite popular.

Will you think about putting it on the Internet? I have peeked at chickens in Conneticut, Arkansas, Alaska, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, and I think there were even a few others.

I am also glad that you are upgrading the security, with the preditors you described I am sure you will benefit.

Please remember to keep up updated.

Homesteader 34, I put the baby monitor in the chicken house before I moved my chicks outside and a month later, it's still there and I listen all day and til bed time at night. (And if I wake up during the night, I check it.) If there seems to be too much activity after they are usually on the roost, I go out to check on them. This is after I've locked them in for the night. My family still laughs at me for keeping it on. But I don't care, it makes ME feel better.
