Hi Everyone
I’m new here.
Two of our babies hatched yesterday. One of our chooks has taken on of the babies and attacked it. We found him in the bushes with his little leg bloody and not moving. I have separated the mother and the two chicks and hoping the rest will still hatch.
What do I do with the hurt baby. The vets are all closed. I have put him half under his mother and water him from the dropper every few hours.
Do I make a splint? Or is it likely he will die?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
