Attacked... One eye gone.

My wife came home to find one of the ladies had been attacked and is missing an eye. Anybody had such a wound heal and get along. She separated her from the others in case of pecking...

I have a mature hen that lost an eye. Honestly, I have no idea how it happened. She had both eyes when I got her, and one day I noticed the left one was gone. Just a socket---no other injury, etc. She never missed a beat as far as laying or activity.

I would treat as any other wound. Keep it as clean as possible. You can't really bandage that area, but you can put a wound dressing or ointment on it to protect it and keep it moist. chickens have amazing abilities to heal themselves.
