I'm posting this again because I did not get a response to my first post a week ago but could still use some feedback.

My light brahma was attacked by my Delaware. I'm not sure why, pecking order issues maybe? My Dellie is definitely the alpha. Anyway, so it's been a week. The day of the attack, I bathed and separated my brahma. I could not find the injury, but there was blood. I wormed her and am on day 3 of corid. All of this from assumptions made reading other threads. So what should I be expecting at this point. She is still experiencing diarrhea. It was mostly watery with some yellow. It is now turning more white with less yellow. Is this a good sign? I've been having a hard time getting her to eat, but she's drinking well. She did show a twinge of excitement when the meal worms came out today. She ate 3 or so. Should I try an antibiotic? Again, blindly. I hate antiobiotics, but I'm at a loss. Maybe I should just keep an eye on her progress before trying more treatment?

I like to take the "wait and see" approach most of the time. You have thrown a few meds at her all at once, so I would take a little break until she has let her system get back to normal. I might put her on some vitamins and add some probiotics to her water.

If she had a cocci overload (which is why you are using the Corid, I am assuming) then she will take several days to get back to her normal self. The cocci puts lesions in the intestines that prevent the uptake of nutrients and cause the blood that is seen in the stools. Even after treatment those lesions need time to heal. Once they are healed the bird can start digesting its food properly, but in the interim the bird may still act a little off.

I'm still really not sure what's going on. I am not seeing signs of my girl getting better. Still runny, yellow poop. Still lethargic and not eating well. Seems like the number of things that could be wrong is too long of a list. At this point, she's been wormed and treated for cocci even though it's possible neither were an issue. She's on vitamins. She seems perky at times but not regularly. None of the other birds are showing similar signs so maybe it's not contagious? I hate not knowing what's going on.

6 months old. Had only just started laying. Not laying now. Her abdomen is not swollen. Don't think she's egg bound because her abs feel good. Don't then it's vent gleet because she doesn't have the sweet stink associated with that.

I am wondering if she has internal laying, and the yellow in her droppings is egg yolk leaking into her droppings. Does this sound possible?
