attacking rooster

I never hit him with the rake, just used it to push him the direction I wanted. And then I stood there and kept him separated from MY hens. Not HIS hens, MINE. He did not rejoin them until I allowed him to.

love this statement... wonderful advise and glad that it worked for you. my roo is coming up on 1 yr old. now he is wonderful. I hope he will stay that way. I have already had to rehome a 2 yo BO cuz he was so dang mean. I would hate to have to rehome this one as he gets older--- it broke my heart to rehome the mean one--but he was attacking me and my son.

I had a RIR rooster that attacked my grandfather and no one else, i took over taking care of him so my grandfather wouldnt get hurt. that rooster suddenly died, we arent sure why, but i now have two bantam silkie roosters. they are only two months old, but the dominant, and bigger one began as very mean to the other chicks when we got them, but then everyone else turned to pecking the feathers on his head and pulling them out. we separated him and he became very very sweet, the others backed off, and he sits on my shoulder while i do whatever i need to, but yesterday, he began attacking my grandfather and grandmother. he wont even try to attack me. since hes small he doesnt really hurt, but he only does it when they are turned around and not paying attention. he'll run p behind them, attack their leg once, then turn around and walk away. I would like to stop this, i noticed when he came up behind me yesterday and i thought he was going to attack, i raised my hand like i was going to pop him if he did, and he walked away. im just not sure what to do about him attacking my grandparents. my other rooster is very reserved and comes to us, very friendly, i have no worries about him. the two roosters dont even fight, when the smaller rooster fusses with one of my hens, the bigger rooster walks between them and stands there to break it up. he only attacks my grandparents early in the morning, around seven, eight o clock. they are free range in my yard. i just need help stopping him from attacking.
