Someone had told me to use led lights. When I both them I thought they would be bigger. This was taken at 830 PM. They seemed to be scared of the coop so I tried to get more light in. Think this would be okay? After herding them in, my 3 that have been with me longer seemed to go in more willingly. I caught my 4th who seemed better once I got her in. And 5th and 6th has been my most stubborn female and my wandering roo. Last female is easy to grab after it gets dark and my younger roo I'm not too worried about since he has started roosting up on a roof.

How old are your birds?

You aren't gonna want to keep those lights on. They will mess up their laying. At that age they should go in, but you may need to train them by chasing them in right before dusk, than locking them in to settle. After a week or so they should go in themselves.

Is this a whole new coop?

Part of a barn that had this in there. I turned off the lights after about 10 min of them being in there. But brand new for them. Two are laying in there now. Both in the nesting boxes and in the hay on the floor in the corners

It will take some time for them to adjust. You may want to confine them for a few days to a week to hasten the process.

I had for 2 days. I feel bad when they are stuck in there. they refused to lay one of those days. The wandering male has been getting bullied more by the older male (older by like a month) so I been letting him stay out now I know he is safely roosting. I think the last gen just wants to keep him company

Do you have something in there for them to roost on? They shouldn't roost in the nest boxes, they will poop in them all night long, then lay eggs on the poop :sick

Yes, the beams on top of the pics are for roosting... they dont seem to realize this though. I think I might have to put something lower until they figure it out. I cant quiet reach the bottom of them in order to try and put them up there. I know they can get up there, found one hen up on top once.
