Attempting to Bag a Red Fox

Fox coming in from both directions, but not where chickens are located. May be more than one. First one went through by trap-line, then a few minutes later female dog went after a fox in orchard. She ran up wing on latter, but gave herself away growling and chuffing with tail held high.

We also found a Gray Fox and Badger a couple miles away. Neither suitable for skull collection.

Fox came in today as chicks going to roost. I did not see it at first. A rabbit came out of bushes from behind pens in direction of barn. After hopping very close to young chicks it settled within about 10' of me and started to feed looking back into direction from which is came. Female dog had a different view and could see rabbit as well. I was between dog and rabbit. Dog was also focused on where rabbit came from. Just as I could see nose of fox the dog charged after it and chased it a piece. It probes even with me and dogs present. It was coming down wind so likely did not know we were present until dog charged. Dog got within 20 feet of it.
