I’ve tried to make sourdough twice before. The first time I forgot to stir it and it started rotting. The second time I was really staying on top of it and making sure I stirred and fed the starter at least once a day. But I put it in a metal bowl and left it in there for 12 hours and it started, I kid you not, eating away at the metal and I had to throw it away.
But despite that, I am back at it. And you know what they say, third times the charm!
