Attention Muscovy lovers

Yes, I do.......I know, kinda crazy, but I decided to go with it since the last clutch was totally infertile, .....

and I really need to figure out which drake I want to keep......I wanna keep the old one, and eat the young one, but what if the old one really is infertile?

I dunno

She was off the nest twice yesterday. But yesterday was only day two, and yesterday a magpie got into the coop! It flew all over and my son had to scare it out.

Anyway, do yours usually come off at one general time? Or us that super variable?

2X is about normal especially when they first start. she'll probably only come off 1X once the eggs start to develop, Some of mine come out right when I open up in the morning run around like nuts eating pooping[very important] and bathing then right back on the nest, then I have had others that wait till up in the day to come out. She'll get her own pattern going. How old is the "old drake" ?
Here is a good chart to go by.. http://wildliferehabber.com/sites/default/files/wr_duckeggchart.jpg

The old drake was two this summer.

Old?? he is just in his prime.. now old, I have one going on 10 and I caught him and one of his girls in the kiddy pool the other day, he actually mated with her and poor guy can hardly walk any more, now whether he's still fertile is questionable but at least he had a bit of fun.

They are beautiful do you know how many of each you have yet?
Males and females? No, not yet. I try to guess but a few have the same coloring and they move so fast! Looking at the feet can see a slight difference, hopefully in in a week or so I will know for sure, they are 5 weeks now. I'll let you know.

That white one with the side view looks a lil drakey to me but might just be the pic. looking at it in the bigger pic I'd almost bet that one is a drake. and I see a couple with the football build which is girl.
