wow cant believe i just found this we have 3 dogs 1 is 3/4 pitbull and the most mellow now my moms little chihuahua/dachshund mix is just crazy and the only one to kill any of my chickens i think he got 6 if i remember right also i wish i had a pic but at the last tradin days i went to there was a lady with a pit pulling a wagon with her kids in it man that was a good lookin dog

I don't think I had met a pit bull till a neighbor moved into the rent house on the corner..
I had always heard nasty things about pits..
So when he told me Pancho was a pit mix..I was pleasantly surprised..
Pancho was an escape artist, he always came to my house tho cause I leave fresh water out and my dogs take their bones outside when they are out front on the leash (we only have a fence in the back yard)

He was such a sweetie..I hope he is still a sweetie..His owner was gone a lot and kept him in a big cage outside (can't blame the dog for wanting to escape

)

Just wanted to say..Pancho may have been a big boy, but he never bothered my chickens..That's one reason I never ran him off

I don't know much about pits but i do know about mastiffs. No matter what age dog you get the moment the dog is yours training starts. If you get a pit please train hard and be a ambassador for your breed. Do therapy and show the world the real pitbull.

So ever since I read this, I've been asking people to smell the dog feet. Oh, the reactions I get! Some are 'no way' and others do it! The other day, DS's GF and I were talking about feet smelling like fritos. Then tonite when they came home from running the dogs, and they were drying the feet off with towel to come in house, they had been running through wet stuff, I asked if they smelled like fritos. The GF smelled them, and she shrieked, 'oh gawd no!'
