I won a GreenFire Farms auction of 15+ chickens (they sent 20). It's a surprise mix of their rare breeds. These are the quietest, calmest chicks I have ever had. Ok I have spent the last 36 hours trying to figure them out by looking at the chick pictures on their site. I need help. Sorry for the picture heavy thread. If I don't figure them out, I think I am going to go insane staring at pictures of chickens trying to figure them out. Can the pros please help before I need professional help?

Oh, you are so lucky!
I'm guessing that the all black one is an Ayam Cemani...

Lovely birds!

Thanks for the help. I can really say nice things about Green Fire Farms. The chicks are beautiful and healthy. I can't wait to see the 12 Cream Legbar chicks that I also purchased from them.

But boy was I wrong. I finally got the email from GFF about which breeds they sent me:

Chicks # 1, 4, 8, 9, 12, 16, 18 are Birchen Marans.
Chick # 2 is a Blue Barnevelder.
Chicks # 3, 15, 17 are Partridge Opringtons (at least I guessed that correct).
Chicks # 5, 7, 10, 11 are Male Bielefelders.
Chicks 6, 13, 14, 19 are Female Bielefelders.
Chick # 20 is unknown (GFF won't confrim Ayam Cemani) but is now called "Batman". He's so tiny that when he jumps on top of the EcoGlow brooder, it's like he's ready to fight crime (or those rowdy Marans).

Congratulations!! Wow--I will keep my fingers crossed that Batman turns out to be an Ayam Cemani!
and thanks for posting your pics. it helped me identify my Greenfire Farms auction win.
I have a Birchen Maran!
