Thank you to all those bidding, the well wishes and thoughts and prayers. What we see on the news here makes me cry but hearing it first hand from my friends and family back home is even worse.

I just wish there was more I could do. I feel so helpless being so far away. My Mum and Stepfather do wildlife rehab in Australia and I know they are going to be swamped.

Funny thing.. I work in the department of internal medicine at the university of Iowa... Division of Infectious diseases. We do a TON of experiments on Neutrophils. I donate about once a week for $10 or $15.... I wasn't kidding....
