How are the WTB laying so far? When did they start? What color are the eggs? Ours are 8 weeks, so we have awhile but we just lost one of our Olive Eggers so I am anxiously awaiting some more color in our farm cartons!

Aw man, so sorry about your OE!

The WTB are still pretty sporadic about laying, I get 2-4 blue eggs a day from 7 WTB. The Orpingtons, Bielefelder, and KoolAid the BYM are very reliable, laying almost every day. Still small eggs, but everyone’s are slowly increasing in size They’re a BEAUTIFUL blue, not light at all

Thanks, guys. Out of the 3 Olive Eggers from TSC last year, we only have one left. Lesson learned, won’t be buying any from there again! They were beautiful hens but not hardy at all…one I had to nurse multiple times as a baby, and this one got a swollen stomach and died shortly after (thinking reproductive).

Hubby found the chicks today. Busted! The girls hatched 9/12 a week ago and they’ve been out of the coop free ranging for the last few day. I love watching them all together.

Two hatched! I'm thrilled
I did have to go in and help the darker one out a bit. Really glad I did, because he's perfectly healthy; he'd just managed to position himself where zipping was not a possibility. They're already giving me the muscovy side eye - I can't wait for them to grow up!

officially at lockdown!!!!!!! can't wait for the first pip! I will stare at them often tomorrow I am sure. haahaa but probably won't see the first pip until Wed morning!

So exciting!!!!! Must remember to pop mine out in the morning A bit under the weather today, not boding well for our first week of school starting Wednesday. Poor kids are so anxious they’ll miss it. Maybe hatching chicks will cheer them a bit
