August 2024 hatch-a-long

I have started incubating for a August hatch. So far 24 eggs in which are 10 Marans, 7 olive eggers and 7 Marans cross due to hatch around August 7th. I'll probably collect another batch for the end of August.

Only 1 Marans, 5 olive eggers and 4 Marans crosses developed, 2 crosses quit during a power outage. Not too upset since it's winter here, so any chicks are a win

The kids wouldn't mind gemstone, mineral or metal names.
roosters name is Ember. Hens are pearl (OE), platinum (Marans) and Copper (Marans cross). but I'm open to any names
