Yep!! She has the BIGGEST fluffy cheeks!! And even better, their gonna be just like her dads white cheeks, while the rest of her body will be brown!

UPDATE:

Sakura (@GlicksChicks) and vinca (@talkinboutchickens) are both hatched!! Both greatly healthy too! Sakura did take about 27 hours to hatch, but she took no assistance luckily moony and cassia are doing great too!

I'm so sorry for taking so long to respond! I love her so much! Good job Sakura!! ❤❤

Hey everyone!! It’s been a very long time since I’ve been active on this app due to some family and livestock issues we’ve been going through the last couple of months. But I’m back with updates!!

We had 7 chicks hatch this year, 2 were not part of this.

So, there were some issues between the last update and this one.

Every hatched chick survived up until Christmas Day. We moved them out of the barn from their indoor pen a few days before Christmas. There was a very long space before we moved them out due to the weather in our area and the predator issue we’ve had over the last few months. They had a separate smaller covered pen and an indoor area.

When we went to count our birds and close them up on December 25th, one of the roosters did not show up. This bird was moony. Were assuming he was picked up by owls, as we saw multiple hunting near the pen the following morning.

Friday, December 27th I went outside to count the chickens and close the pens and coop. I didn’t find any of the birds in the coop, so I went to go see if they had stayed outside. Then I noticed a rooster in the goats water trough. This one was lily.

i had mentioned the rooster bullet in this post, he had been hunted by bobcats early October.

Every bird other than lily and moony are alive and well. We have a remaining 3 of 5 chickens from this years hatching. The remaining birds are Sakura, vinca, and cassia.

Currently I only have an updated picture of Sakura and moony. I will post pictures of the rest tomorrow and mention everyone in the posts, and I will search for an image of lily.

Picture 1 is Sakura, and picture 2 is moony.
