I have a special pen set aside that I put my broody hens in if I decide to let them set. They stay all by themselves with their eggs so I don't have to worry about jealous mean hens causing trouble. The first one I let set this year didn't do so good. She hatched about 8 out of 10 eggs but half of them died. Dont know if she killed them or the heat got them. The second and last hen that I let set hatched 10 or 12 eggs and all of hers are living. They are too cute!!! Cochins, silkies and sizzles are such cute biddies.
