August Egg Swap ~ Emails have been sent

I love mixes and I bet that one will be beautiful. I mix mine just to see what they comeout to look like. I did an EE/Silkie back during the summer and they put out some beautiful babies. If I don't sell my extra stock I take them to auction and they brought a good price concidering I didn't expect it to go over $1.00 for any of them. I have a silkie/polish roo and a frizzle pullet together in hopes of getting something unique. I'm sure I will. They are both white but they both have just a few black feathers, so there is obviously black color in there somewhere. There was one black frizzle that hatched out of a batch of 13 sizzles all being white with just one or two black feathers. Well, the black frizzle was more of a chocolate tham black. A dark chocolate like Hersheys. I should have named him that but he got Elvis because of his "doo" I sold him though.

By the way, this is not the breed that i'm sending eggs for. These aren't laying yet.

Ok, the last serama just hatched. It also hatched out to be a mix. So I have 3 pure serama and 2 mixed serama both with a black beak and both with grey legs. I will post pics later on tonight.

I'm gonna have to put these 2 on craigslist for free.

I wish I was close to you. I would love take them off your hands. Maybe when I take a trip to Indiana I can swing by and get them if you still have them. I'd put them with my polish.silkie and frizzle mix. That would be interesting. Just the frizzle but she couldn't fertilize them. lol

WOW! You had 5 eggs to hatch in all??? That's pretty darn good on shipped eggs!!!
Either that silkie rooster has some long lingering stuff or he's figured out how to pay visits to his favorite serama hen.

I agree. I got 5 to hatch also. They where even early. They hatched on lock down day. I still have one in there and thre was activity when the others where hatching but nothing now. I put one of my mixes in 2 days later and it was doing the jig in it's egg when the others where hatching but nothing. I have 13 I put on lock down today and in a few more days i'll put more. My goal i to get both my bators empty and then fill them up on the same day. Or at least one of them I really need a cabinet bator.

I would love to have those mixes you got. I can't wait to see the pics.

I wouldn't mind giving them to you. I don't have mixes here. I have all pure breeds.

Yes, i ship but they are so young right now and only 2 of them. I would be afraid that they would die in shipping. Seramas are fragile. Of course you would have to pay to have them shipped.

When they get a little older we can talk about shipping them. I think they would be great for my little project.
