august HATCH-A-LONG

Ended up with 10 hatching yesterday. I guess one quit in late development because it matched the others at the last candling, but I don't really know what I was looking for. I'm going to give it a little more time because today was supposed to be hatch day. I am pleased with 83% hatch rate from the original 12...91% if I don't the infertile one. I'd like to say I'm proud of myself, but I don't think keeping water in the incubator counts as doing much.

I used the NR360 and it got crowded with eggs being kicked around pretty quickly. I couldn't imagine what a full load of 22 would have looked like.

Got 9 of them. Two were hiding under the plate (one of which is fading:().

Wilbur has only been laying eggs for 3 weeks, and is 5 1/2 months old and had decided it's time to be a mama. She is a Olive Egger and the last one I thought would be my broody hen lol. So she's sitting on fake eggs while I ordered some hopefully fertile hatching eggs and put them in my mom's incubator. Here's hoping she's as good of a mother as she is determined to be broody.
