As far as I've investigated, yes. Lavender is the unrecognized name for self blue in breeds like Ameracaunas and Orpingtons.

Really hope everyone's eggs do better from here on out. There have been so many problems with hatches in the last 2 months. Wonder what is happening to the little chickies to be.

I have a single Lav orp from a horrible hatch...I got a clutch of eggs from our Roxanne on here Lav americana and lav orps due about the 19th....doing really well so far...
the little Lavender orp that I did get from that batch is about 4 weeks...so beautiful!! little girl!
