August Hatch-A-Long!

I'm so upset my 30 eggs in my first hatch not one chick

I think it's my mom's bator

So I need suggestions as to a new Tabletop bator (other than a little giant still air) preferably something that fits the little giant turner since we already have it and it works fine. I just want something that is reliable and holds the temp. My kids were so upset that nothing hatched so we want to get a new bator and try again hopefully with better success this time

I have LG's and do fine with them but it took me awhile.(and bad hatches ) to figure out what worked.

I have LG's and do fine with them but it took me awhile.(and bad hatches ) to figure out what worked.

I was on day 22 and a couple hours I'm so upset my moms last two hatches did nothing either but I figured I would try with the turner she always hand turns and they started to stink really bad they all looked scrambled

so I defiantly think its the bator I checked them all the time and watched the temp all the time so there is no reason why not one egg would have started. So I've been researching and i'm looking at the genesis 1588 because I can use the little giant turner with that one so I do not have to buy another turner I don't know I could get a fan kit and convert hers from still air I think it has bad luck now

That happened with my FIL's bator and he even has the fan kit in his L G . Even with me being an inexperienced hatcher, I have had some pretty darn good hatches with my GQF Genisis 1588 and local eggs. Shipped eggs, well not so much, I don't think they are for a beginner. Good luck!

I found a hatchery that has the genesis for cheaper than I can find it online plus I can pick it up so bonus no shipping yeah gonna get one tomorrow morning and try this again ugg longest 21 days of my life lol

I have a question for those that have been on this site for awhile. I have tried a few other threads but so many are bossy, know-it-all and rude. Nothing is said to them but as soon as a new person says anything that is not super nice and polite, they are warned or criticized. This thread seems to be nice and helpful people without the meanness. So what I am asking is why are some allowed to get away with what others are not? And what is it with so many being rude if someone talks about egg color? Breed quality and egg color are not mutually exclusive. I am getting frustrated. I've been trying to get advice from other threads but they are too condescending for me. I'm going to stick with my peeps on here. (And don't try to use humor on those other threads, yikes! I felt like a handful of mealworms tossed into the coop.)

Thank you, my fellow hatchers for being so helpful and positive. I love coming on here to read up on your hatches and getting encouragement when things aren't going right. It really adds to the enjoyment of hatching.

What eggs are you putting in? I started with barnyard specials and whatever I could get cheap until I finally had a good hatch.

What is you dream breed? Is there one kind you have wanted forever but can't find or is too expensive? Why that breed?

usually when someone is just plain mean it's because they are unhappy! there are huge differences in different parts of the county as to how people behave too...
my dream breed??? well if I could think of an answer I'd come across another one! lol
