August Hatch-A-Long!

Hmmm....I'm taking a wild guess with no expertise but maybe a buff Orp? Or pretty much any red chicken that lays brown tan eggs.

I'm curious to find out though.

Oh and CONGRATS!!!! Go chickies go!

Thank you :) I have two BO pullets (15 weeks) and they are my favorite girls, it would be nice to have another. I got them at 3 weeks old so I don't know what they looked like as day old chicks. I have the brooder right next to the incubator so that 'Sunshine' can keep peeping at her hatch mates still in the incubator. lol

Thinking about setting some older eggs with my fresh eggs. Not sure exactly when they were layed. Within the last two weeks for sure. Opinions, pls.

I may be hatching 4 eggs under my hen Hoot, She's been sitting on them for about 7 days. We thought she had been killed but she was just brooding. We don't know if were going to let her brood or not (I probably just will) but... I'll just join the hatch along! My 4 eggs are due to hatch on the 16th or 17th I think. it's one Americauna egg the other three I think are hers or her sister's. (she is actually her sister).Hoot is a Barred Rock X Cochin X Black Australorp. If you want to know, Hoot looks like a blue Cochin!
