I'm so sorry for you heartbreak!! not a lot else I can say cause I know the hurt and you wonder if it was your fault...I think I followed some of the thread and when I got up early I saw your message for help...but I hadn't read what had happened to that point

every single person on here has learned through all the trails and errors....just like yours...and your experience will be a learning experience for everyone else

this is my last month for me...I don't want to have to worry about wee ones in the winter! what will I do??

Same for me. I have chocolate silkies due the 15th and then I am done till Spring. Then all my growouts will be laying and I can start breeding my Polish and older Silkies!

Concerning the conversation about who should do what. old timers, difference in treatment of assisting...............
I just don't go there...........Makes my stomach hurt............

I help when I feel I have something to offer.
I also use other threads for problems as well as the hatch-a -long. ........... I don't put all my eggs in one basket.. DID I SAY THAT?.....

We all just do the best we can..............and a lot of times, even with advise and encouragement
people just do what they are going to do anyway.......
The biggest lesson I have learned is trust mother nature..............
There have been some great hatches lately............Congratulations.

Adorable, jnjmanning & turkenlurken!

One of my pullets is in fact broody, I've moved her to a better spot, she likes it a lot. She's been sitting for 4 days now. She tucked 9 eggs under her, I tried a 10th one but she didn't accept it.. So here we go, I got the incubator still running & a broody August will be one heck of a month. Lol!
