August Hatch-A-Long!

well went to check my babies and the little one that seemed to have recovered from heat stroke is now dying! I don't have it in me to cull anything...so I've made it as comfortable as I can...it looks like it's just sound asleep...it was normal just awhile ago!

Oh I am so sorry to hear this. How sad

LOL Yes the humidity comes up as they start to hatch. Sometimes 10% or higher. So as the hatching slows down the humidity will drop.

Thanks...I was getting a bit frustrated with the fluctuation. The last time I hatched chicks was over 30 years ago and we didn't even have a way to monitor humidity then. Its a wonder anything hatched way back them, lol.

Day 19 and I have my first pip! I am concerned because its below the last air cell line a lot - but I haven't candled since day 17 when I put them in the hatcher because I needed room in the bator - and I had a feeling they might start early since so many are and its so hot. Do nothing right??

Love the colorful air pocket lines :)
