25 to 28 days for ducks some longer!! how long has it been? are these shipped eggs? the reason I ask is then it could have started earlier than when you started incubating by a few days...do you see veins? lots of fluid? or is it dark like all duckling??

What kind of candler do you guys have? I have a small strong LED flashlight but I can not see half of what everyone else seeings. I need to buy something else. Let me know what you have and a picture would be great. Thanks.

My chickens now are pretty smart.  I have one that uses the doggie door when I'm not looking.  She doesn't like to roost outside.  If I am late putting them away I will find her in the laundry room on top of the brooder.  SHe is one of my favorites and head chicken. 

LOL, too funny! Wonder what your dog thinks when it sees a chicken using its door?

85.5 degrees is too low also! don't be surprised if it takes a few days longer to hatch due to that low temp...I think your seeing regular movement!! it's too early...I advise you wait

Ah, sorry! I meant day 32 and the temp is at 98.5!

mine actually plugs in to the wall!! I have to be careful the last few days cause it heats the egg so much it'll dry the membrane out! there are still eggs I can't fully see well in though lol

Muscovies are some that incubate longer correct?? but 32 days sounds right on! I would still hold out! it sounds like it's doing it thing! up the humidity to 85% and wait until the morning! read up on assisted hatching because if you open the shell no matter what you do the membrane will dry and you'll end up needing to hatch the duckling.....I'll be looking for up dates...best of luck to you and your little one

My last batch that came in, all were upside down in the cartons but since the carton was upside down in the shipping box, it works out I suppose. Two have peck cracks in them.    The other batch was packed some up some down but the cartons were upside down in the box.  I've had sawdust, toilet paper, bubble wrap, paper towels, nothing, newspaper, fedex shipping envolopes wadded up.  How hard is it to Google 'How to ship hatching eggs.'  I have learned if you say it's the post offices fault they might replace but you have to pay for shipping but if you suggest, even when it's obviously a packing error, it's the sellers fault, you get nothing.

I don't think I would buy eggs off eBay. I like to know the breeders reputation and you just can't know that about an eBay seller. Also, I have heard that there are people on eBay selling infertile store bought factory eggs as fertile hatching eggs. Who can prove it, unless you crack an egg and look at yokes yourself.
