.I hoping for the last one to be a pullet.....

Hey Jim #7(yellow chick) is taking its time and has a weird comb,Im having to help it and another one out very slowley....

Big comb and the IA Blue were the dominant roos. I haven't seen the Blue Wheaton or Silkie doing anything lately.

When I left last night I had 2 out from Laura. Both yellow with a black spot on the back of the neck.

I had one of my own hatch with a small rose comb.
Later,

Jim

Jim,
This is what hatched for me (other than the guineas; which should be next week). The bantam egg never developed.

Egg #8 - smaller rounder light brown egg

Egg #5 - same smaller rounder light brown egg Basically black with brown head area

Egg #7 - white more oblong egg Had to help this one out a little. Mostly grays with yellow accents

They are all so cute! Any guesses to what they are?

I'm guessing egg 8 is either Iowa Blue or an Iowa Blue cross. (I'm leaning more towards a cross because of the leg color)

Looking at the leg color on #5, I would say that is an Iowa Blue (Maybe a cross)

Egg # 7 looks like it was from one of my cross hens (although one of my Iowa Blue's is laying white eggs)

Does 7 or 8 have a rose comb?

This is my Iowa Blue Cockerel.

This is Big Comb, the other dominant roo.

They all look like single combs to me

It will be fun to see what they turn out like - hopefully not a bunch of roos

Guinea eggs are on day 25. Went to check humidity and lock them down today. Ummm they are all internally pipped and two are externally pipped. Someone didn't tell them they had to wait a few more days...
