I think I did see the picture of the chick from my eggs. You thought a cockeral - was that true?

BTW - off the three guineas that hatched, one died the first week (bottom beak was much longer than top) - but the other two are zooming all over the coop with their chicken friends. They are amazingly hard to catch even at this age.

That would be Guineas. Did you find they grew and feathered in much faster than the chicks?

Yes, they feathered in much quicker than the chicks. I just love the soft guinea sounds that they make right now. That will change when they get older and they start their warning (guardbird) sounds - not sure the neighbors will "love" that.
