Has anyone done this? Can a bantam rooster get the job done? What are possible outcomes?

I think I accidentally did this!

I hatched a bunch of my EE's eggs (Buff Orpington, Black Copper Marans, and d'Uccle roosters). I was thrilled to see that some had feathered legs because I assumed my Marans was the dad, and I'd have Olive Eggers.

As they grew I thought they resembled my d'Uccles and were quite a bit smaller than the other chicks their age. I don't know.....that tiny rooster was always trying, but I really never thought it would work. I sold the chicks, but it was really looking like the bantam was probably the father. So, I'd say it could be possible.

thanks do you think I would get an olive egged?

I'm not sure and wondered the same thing. Since d'Uccles lay such a light egg I'm not sure what color they would end up laying. Possibly a blue/green. Maybe someone else will know and comment.
