Chicken with raw skin from foot infection.

I tried some rubbing alcohol, but I'm not yet ready to try surgery. His foot is improving and he is really trying to get back on his feet, so we'll see!
All you do is remove the scab. It's not exactly a surgery.

It's good his foot is now improving.

URGENT! His feet are shriveled and smell like a rotting corpse. I will probably have to make a vet visit after all... in the meantime, what is going on??
I stopped wrapping his feet to breathe, and 2 days later, it's so much worse.

Sounds like necrosis. Debriding the wounds could've prevented this.

I doubt the dressing of the wound prevented this. It's also not likely letting the wounds breathe caused it.
