Austrailian Spotted

Picked up five of them at a sale today (said holerads stock 09) blue head drake blue head hen, green hen and a silver hen. I was surprised to see them there and got them for a great price. I have never seen them in person, only on the web, they are very cute, will post some pics once I get them settled in. Does anyone else on here have any of them?

I have 2 (a pair) and the hen has laid about 8 eggs now, so I'm hoping she'll decide to set soon! They are both blue heads. Have fun- you got lucky! There aren't alot of them out there I'm told.

I just checked her nest and there are 9 eggs! Woo Hoo!

There are 12 eggs in her nest

and I caught her sitting on them still late morning, but then found her out with her mate the rest of the afternoon. Don't know if she's in that wishy washy period before they set or not.

I hope she decides soon to set and stay there! She won't be able to cover more than the ones in there already (I'm thinking.)
