They were all gorgeous thank you for sharing the video. How'd you do?

Lovely birds! What a racket!! Roosters, Guineas . . . . wow!!

I felt a little twinge, though, as the ducks looked a bit, even very nervous. Probably just projecting . . . do they seem to do okay during and after these shows? I know you love them, so they must be fine. Mercy, what an event!!!!

Amiga - I must have been projecting too, I found myself thinking the same thing!

Thanks for sharing! It was nice to see such a variety of colors. The first thing I thought of when I read 5200 birds on display was wow I bet that was noisy!!! Then we got to hear a sampling.

Some people do not pen train their birds before a show- and so yes- some birds dont handle being in a pen well. A three day show is the longest I am prepared to have my birds in a pen for- there are longer ones. The state show here in Melbourne later in the year will be for 10 days. Way too long for my duckies to be locked up- so if they go it will only be for in the kids patting pen where they let kids in for 20 minutes about 6 times each day.

Galgo98 - yes some of them were mine. Most likely to have had better shots of those ones.

Some of the birds...chickens- turkeys geese too all managed quite well being in the public eye for so long. Some dont handle it as well as others. You could tell just by looking at the cages- who was getting more attention from their owners. Extra bedding added each day for some- others starting to get a bit nasty after so long.
