I have them and would like to start a breeding program out here. They are such a friendly little duck, not too noisy and easy to keep. The colours are neat too.
We have our first hatch of 6 from 2 greens due this weekend, and our blue hen decided to sit the nest of 10+, so we're hoping. Then comes my learning curve for showing!
I would love to bring stock from Holderreads, but it is cost prohibitive. I believe my stock orginally came from there but am still researching.
I am hoping they will become more popular as they are hard to find!

I agree they are excellent people to do business with. I corresponded with LOTS of emails before I finally decided to go with them. They were very thorough and friendly in their emails and phone calls.
I was originally going to get the greenheads but then I read that with the blueheads, they will hatch out all THREE colors (blue, green & silver) so I went with them.
I don't want to wish spring/summer away, but MAN I'm looking forward to Fall!

I am planning on passively breeding them. By passive I mean, I will let the hen set on as many eggs as she wants and see what I end up with for stock. Then, I'll keep what I want and sell the rest. Depending on how that goes, I'll do the same thing again the following season. I know they are very rare as most people I've talked to about them have never heard of them. That in itself could be either good or bad. I assume only serious duck owners would even consider purchasing ducklings from me since they won't have a $4 price tag
. But that's what I meant by I'll see how it goes. They are pets to me and I'll only brood what I know will be sold the second time around.
I will take lots of pics and post them on this thread (if I can find it again that is
