Australian Spotted Duck

I know I'm late to the party but I have them and am hatching eggs right now (both incubator and broody ducks). I hope to have well started young birds available by the end of the summer for people who might be interested.

Definitly post pictures of those!

They're an American breed developed early in the 20th century from mostly mallard with maybe some pintail genetics. They're classed as a bantam breed, come in three color forms (greenhead, bluehead, and silverhead), are friendly, quieter than calls, and make good mothers.

I have two ducklings in the brooder (greenheads, so they look a lot like mallards right now) and I'll try to post pix tonight.
