I've been to Australia 5 or 6 times in my 20 years in the US Navy. It is by far one of the best places to visit. I've eaten emu and other meals in a place called Prickles Cafe in Fremantle, near Perth. This was several years ago. The emu was quite good, texture like beef and desert was excellent. THe folks are really great! I got to participate in a kicking, or punting contest in an Aussie rules football game in Esperance. I won the contest and ended up spending my wins in the club house after the game! THe team was called the blues or ports or a combination but we had a blast!
