Congratulations - that is an amazing haul! How many birds did you have there? We had a Waterfowl special at our show today and there were some really beautiful ducks there, including Runners, I enjoyed putting my handon the top of the cage to make them stand up straight!

You stole my thunder! (But I don't begrudge you that at all) I got Reserve Champion with my Aussie game Bantam Pullet!! First time ever I won a sash, but your results are amazing - mind you the work that you put into your ducks you deserve it!

Thanks wooklet... Which show did you go to?? I know another lady that has hatched a Runner from my eggs down in Tassie was showing him today. Her " Harley" one first in his class...not too sure of he would have had competition. But he is a lovely boy. She also shows white runners.

CONGRATULATIONS to you as well!!!!. Well done- you also put a lot of work into your birds. ( guarding them from hubby as well as just caring for and breeding them

)

Together we won...

Best of Breed Harlequin Indian Runner
Best Light waterfowl
Champion Waterfowl

Champion Junior Sussex
Champion Junior softfeather
Champion Junior Waterfowl
Champion Junior Bird ( over all three sections. ) Out of 4 Junior trophies - My daughter won 4 of them!!

We had 14 birds - 11 waterfowl and 3 landfowl. I had 4 birds in one class.... I got 1st 2nd and third - and one girl missed out. But it was actually a new bird I bought not long ago that missed out- the three I bred all placed- o that in itself was wonderful as it shows just how far I have come in just one year of breeding. Constant incubating and brooders in the house has paid off.

Thanks Satay! I'll have to post a picture of my little champ too!

Ducky, I already posted to you on FB,but meant to say that there were a couple of really nice white runners there - would they have been the one that was hatched from your eggs? Still over the moon about my win yesterday,it really makes it all worthwhile! Also becomes more addictive, I have entered 3 more shows today!!

wooklet please do post a pic of your champ too.

It was a coloured runner that I was most interested in. The lady does have some gorgeous white runners- but she also had a harlequin entered.

Will try and take a good pic and post it tomorrow. There was a Harlequin there, I had a good look at it because it is the first one I have actually seen at a show, it was a really nice duck-was that the one that she won with?

That could have been Harley!! If it was a Harlequin Runner- not a normal Welsh Harlequin I have watched him grow on facebook but havent sen a recent photo of him- or one in a show pen. Oh I so hope it was him you saw. He was so spoilt as a baby, and I am so happy that Lia has taken him to shows. Getting the colour seen at a show is a great way of promoting the colour. So many people have just never seen one.
