closest I could find to a doghouse! Yes, he has been forgiven. I will post a picture when they are all through, at the moment we have 2 black bantams out - so cute with big fluffy feet, 2 chipping away.1 pipping and cheeps coming from the others, so looks like we are all go! Thank you for your concern, we really appreciate it.

Cant wait to see pics... I love fluffy feet.

Fabulous...they are trying to swim in their small drinking water container as I type... I will have to take some new pics of the two oldest- I am still hoping they turn out"Cinnamon" however they are quite differnet in some areas of their feathering. Little Janie is finaly growing..and now the runt is little Charlie... so tiny- I think he may end up in the brooder with the next lot due to hatch in two weeks if he doesnt start growing soon!!

The first one is of 6 of the chicks, 4 silkies and 2 Pekin x's, there is another but it hatched about 6 hours after the others. the second one is of Mr. Fluffy feet himself - he looks like he is wearing boots! I'm so happy and so relieved they hatched,

now we wait until Friday for about 8 more! They are the good show ones so fingers crossed!

Your ducklings must be so cute when they swim in their water containers - love to see pics of that!

What little cuties !!! I dont know much about chooks..but I could pick the silkie chicks out of that lot as soon as I saw them!! Only because I have one. Morri is so sweet.I am so glad I have her.

It will be such an experience for you to raise some ducklings! They can get messy- but they have so much personality . And of course there is the swimming- you miss out on all that fun with chicks!!

Glad you like them! Silkies are my favourite as you may have guessed. Who knows maybe ducks will take over now!

What colour Silkies do you have wooklet ? I just have one white Bearded Silkie...That I think is female...But only because it hasnt crowed yet. I guess its old enough to- There is one in your photo that looks just like her when she hatched. Its a bit blurry - I only discovered a function on my camera for close ups after I had taken these photos.

She is gorgeous! And I am pretty certain she is a she! What are her wattles like? She looks like a good quality bird - is she an indoor pet? I have Whites,grey,partridge and 2 Buff girls who are a deep reddish colour, these are the two that are headed for the show, but they are a bit small at the moment so I may have to wait until next year. I'm also looking for Blacks, and hopefully those are the eggs that are being posted to me next week.

One of the new chickens has twisted middle toes, so on advice from BYC I have made little splint boots for it. As soon as I put it back with the others they all ran after it pecking at the boots - poor little thing - I think that it has settled down now as I can't hear the pitter patter of tiny feet on the newspaper any more!
