all but the little egg have pipped. I was thinking of opening it as I can see one other is very dry. The shells are very tough!! In comparison to duck eggs its hard to drill a little air hole into so I put it back into the bator. Im going to have some Polish chickies soon

Its completely yellow!!!!!!! The first has hatched!! I thought it would have some colour on it somewhere...but the first one is all yellow with a huge fat tummy. So cute- even with the lumpy head.

Congratulations! Looks like you might have a white one , or maybe a blue - was it from a larger egg? I adore their fat tummies! They look like big fat beetles! But that will pass. Funny story, when my first Polish hatched I phone up the man who bred them in a panic because I thought that it had a tumour on its' head and I would have to put it to sleep, felt SO stupid when he told me that they all have that lump as that is what gives them the crest - I didn't know!

Photos, please, a.s.a.p.! I will take a picture of Polish Dad and Mums and send it to you tomorrow,I should have done that before! ENJOY them - I know you will! I am so glad they have started to hatch today, sounds like you really need the distraction. Keep me posted!

I will resist opening the bator too soon. Im still a bit worried about humidity with these guys. What a noisy little critter it is. I cant wait to see it all fluffed up. I was actually amazed at how much larger the lump is on these guys in comparison to silkies I have had.

I dont mind what color they are. Courtney is excited and hopes its a girl. The guy who gave me the wyandotte eggs said he will take back the roosters...but the silkies and Polish

what to do with them yet. I have heaps of time to work that out. Since they arent even all hatched yet- crowing is the least of my worries.

Any More hatched???? Just been up to see the guy who bred the Polish. He loved the two I took up there that hatched from his eggs, reckons we'll give him some competition next year - same parents as yours. Said that the pullets have the larger crest when they are younger,so that is how you will know. Suppose you could always take the roosters to an auction? Still it will be about 6 months before they start crowing, so as you said you have time.

I keep my humidity between 70 - 75% when hatching if that is any help?

Sorry to keep you waiting - I have been selling duckies tonight since I got home...4 have hatched.. VERY CUTE!! I am taking my daughter for a long ago promised drive to the beach tonight..so will post pics when I get home.
