- 8 mth Australop. Noticed bottom feathers stuck with urates 2 weeks ago, hunched, not eating, red wattle, pale comb, skin round pubic bone area yellow rest of skin pink
- last 10 days tried epsom salt baths, fungicide cream on vent, Recover 911 (pre & probiotics, electrolytes, vitamin) in water, switched to Layena+ 19% protein layer pellets, supplemented with Omega Egg Maker, no access to grass/plant
- will only eat mealworms and scratch which have no nutritional value so also started giving Nutridrench. Cannot feel anything in the crop at end of day
- poop initially watery yellowish urates only, last three days green poop (although not eaten plants) with runny urates. Today smelly tan diarrhea no visible worms.
- kept in crate for 6 days. Looking better so tried to ingrate with 3 other chickens, 2 of which viciously attacked her. Now back in crate not eating
- perhaps severe stress or a disease, either way don’t know what to try next.
Please help.

Can you call your regular vet and ask if you can get a fecal float, to look for parasites (worms or coccidiosis?) Has she laid eggs recently? Is her crop empty first thing in the morning? Has she lost weight or does she have any enlargement of her lower belly under the vent? Do you have any antibiotics? The yellow urates could be a sign of something going on with her liver or reproductive problem. I would start an antibiotic such as sulfadimethoxine in case of reproductive infection or coccidiosis. Try feeding her softened scrambled egg, wet chicken feed, a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt with cultures. Has she ever been wormed?

Hi thank you for responding. I have immediate access to corrid and dewormer. Can I give together? Also where can I buy antibiotic without prescription? Vet does not treat chickens.
