Australorp and BJ Giant-help!!!

The Australorp does seem to have a cockerel stance. But I still can not see the saddle feathers well enough. The giant looks like a pullet.

Are those his butt feathers?

I've read on other forums that Australorps with large comb and wattles that was assumed to be a cockerel suddenly started laying eggs, so I wonder if some hens develop them more than average. My 4 week old affectionate Australorp has a pink comb and wattles showing already, but I'm so hoping that it's a girl so that I could keep it, although I'm 95% sure that she is a he....

Please post an update if the Australorp starts laying eggs or starts crowing.

I might be seeing some pointy saddle feathers on the last pic posted, but then the camera can be playing a trick too. Do those feathers look pointy to you in person?

They don't really look pointy to me but I'm no expert on that kind of thing either. He was the most affectionate of the bunch for me as well. Figures he'd be a male. What does that say about hens?

I'm no expert either, but after a few google image search of both Australorp roosters and and hens, the differences became clear, especially with the pointy long saddle feathers that curve down for cocks. I'm very upset about having to give up my BA... A few of my girls are very affectionate as well, but the BA is so special in the way he snuggles with me. I hear that cocks start becoming more aggressive and less friendly as they grow older, and hens become even more friendly, so I hope my heartbreak wont last too long.
