Australorp? Barred Rock?

They are about 1 week, I think...

Sorry it's a bad pic. S/he has a white spot on his/her head.


We have 5 of the black ones, all have similar coloring. And they were all RESCUED not bought!

they do look like both, but my barred rocks were already getting a little barred coloring on the wings, while the australorps were not...i'm no expert though

White spot on the head means the chick carries the barring gene. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a barred Rock, could be a bsl male or other mixed breed.

They look like my barred rocks did when they were smaller. My australorps look totally different than the BRs did.
